As the congregation celebrates the week of Halloween, we consider how this holiday of masks and disguises helps UUs young and old practice confidence. What guides our choice in dressing up as supernatural powers or fictional heroes (and villains)? The stories behind our favorite costumes are often about bravery- putting on armor, even rhetorical, against the oncoming dark of winter. If Spiderman or Bluey can face their fears, so can we. All UUCP members, visitors and friends are encouraged to dress up as much as you want, and tell your Brave Stories while sharing tacos afterwards.
