Don’t bow to commercialism – embrace the charm of thrifted treasures. Be innovative and get creative by making a small gift instead; it is rewarding to you and to the receiver. Purchase tickets to gardens and other areas of interest instead of “things”. With wrapping, note that most shiny paper can’t be recycled, but gift bags and boxes can live many happy lives.
