Find Us & You Shall Seek

Welcome

Unitarian Universalism is an historic liberal religious tradition dedicated to honoring the sacred in every soul while building the beloved community on earth. In an “us vs. them” world, we affirm the unity of humanity and the interconnections of all life. Unlike many religious traditions, we have no creed, but value the wisdom inherent in all the world’s traditions. We seek to be a third way, not fundamentalism nor secularism, but an open and meaningful spiritual community committed to making the world a better place. We welcome all who aspire to such values.

Please feel free to enjoy our website and visit us on Sunday morning.

Spiritual Lessons from a Sabbatical

May 18, 2008 at 9:15 and 11:15 a.m. Much of this sabbatical was about going back to my personal roots, reconnecting with family in Selma Alabama, and theological roots, reading several books on the prehistory of religion.  And much was about fallow time, to see what emerged.  But as I am not a field, my fallow time was spent in meditation and daily writing.  I also visited congregations, both UU and of other faiths, and have become interested in the recent national dialogue about religion and secularism. I thank you all for this sabbatical and the spiritual lessons that I look forward to sharing with you on Sunday. Worship Leader: Rev.
