Volunteer for UULMNJ Immigration Task Force!!

Sanctuary/Fair and Welcoming Working Group

The Unitarian Universalist Legislative Ministry of New Jersey  (UULMNJ) is seeking volunteers to help support the Sanctuary/Fair and Welcoming Working Group within the Immigration Justice Task Force

Please contact Ted Fetter, chair of the Immigration Justice Task Force (IJTF) to get on board for the Working Group at immigration@uulmnj.org.  We have set the goal of getting 100% of New Jersey’s Unitarian Universalist congregations to be Fair and Welcoming by the October 21 2018 UULMNJ Issues Conference! 6 months away! We need volunteers in our Working Group to get there, we need you!

As you may recall, Ted, with the full backing of the IJTF, UULMNJ Board and staff, issued this important challenge to the 2017 Plenary delegates and attendees: to take action over the next 6 months so that we can designate the state of New Jersey as a “Unitarian Universalist Fair and Welcoming/Sanctuary State”–and spread the challenge to other UU State Advocacy Networks (SANS) across the nation. We need your help to accomplish this goal.

What are we asking you to do over the next 6 months??

Get involved yourself, stay involved, and make sure people in your home congregation know about this “action oriented” ministry.

The attack on immigrants is an immediate threat both to our community and to individuals caught up in the latest attempt to scapegoat one group for political gain.

Again, this is a 6 month Working Group- we need you!

Contact Ted to to find out ways to help or visit the UULMNJ website

In service and great faith,

Rev. Rob Gregson, Executive Director – UULMNJ
