Stamp Out Despair Project – November 2016

image-stamp-out-1Stamp Out Despair Project

There are over 2,000 immigrants and asylum seekers languishing in “detention” in our county jails — often far from family or friends, confined for indeterminate periods of time, with severely restricted access to the outside world. Starting in November, we will again partner with First Friends of NJ and NY to collect:

  • Cash donations (to buy phone cards and postage stamps)

  • Holiday cards, note cards, and writing paper

  • Handwritten notes of encouragement, addressed “Dear Friend

Stop by the table in Robinson Lounge before or after Sunday Service during all of November and write a note of encouragement and hopefully to drop off donations.

Many thanks!
