Marjorie Herman
Music Director

I began my tenure as Director of Music at the congregation in January of 2005. I have a Doctorate in Choral Conducting from Indiana University, Bloomington, and have conducted for most of my adult life. With experience at the university, high school, and community levels, I bring a wide range of choral experiences to bear in my work with our music ensembles. My passion for the choral sound is boundless, and I empower the ensembles to provide real substance in what they bring to worship. I am a champion of congregational singing and encourage congregants to lift their voices through our poignant and beautiful hymns. My voice can be heard on Sunday afternoons in my syndicated program Sounds Choral, on the Classical Network The show is also available as a webcast through station’s website.
