Among religious faith traditions, Unitarian Universalism is at the very forefront of advocacy for, and inclusion of, transgender and gender nonconforming persons of all ages, yet rigid notions of gender are so entrenched in our self-understandings, that it can be challenging to see through a new lens. This morning, Craig Rubano will examine child psychologist Diane Ehrensaft’s conceptualization of “gender creativity” as a way to live into – and ally with others living into – greater personal gender authenticity.
