Board of Trustees Member - Peter Macholdt
Peter Macholdt (2010-2013)
Peter Macholdt has been a member of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Princeton since 1997. He is married to Kathy Fedorko and they have an 19-year old daughter, Sarah. The family lives in Hopewell Borough and Peter is a member of the Hopewell Borough Planning Board.
Peter first served the church as Annual Pledge Chair for the pledge drive in 1999 and has been active in many stewardship campaigns since that time. In 2000, he served on a UUCP committee to evaluate options for record keeping software. The committee chose Church Windows, a program that is still in use today.
Peter was also the Chairman of the committee for Socially Responsible Investing formed in January of 2000. Its goal was to evaluate the need for a socially responsible investing policy and, if needed, recommend to the Board of Trustees a socially responsible investing policy for the UUCP Endowment Committee to use in their investment operations. The committee’s recommendations have served to guide the investment of our endowment funds.
Peter has taught the OWL curriculum to 7-8 graders several times. In many ways this has been his most rewarding work at the church.
In addition to the committees mentioned above, Peter has served on the Nominating Committee and the Personnel Practices Committee. Most recently, he has worked with other members to replace the old lighting in our building with new, high-efficiency units.
Peter is owner of Scherer Clinical Communications, a medical education company providing accredited education to medical professionals. He has worked in communications since the early 1980’s.
