The Cost of Comfort

Endorsing Sanctuary for people living in this country who are in danger of inhumane deportation practices can sometimes make us uncomfortable. It positions us against entities of great power; power that is sometimes used unjustly, and it’s easy in this setting for comfort to become a very attractive goal. But seeking comfort comes with a cost. This service will explore what comfort costs, and what courage gives.

Everyone is invited to stay after the service, from 12-3 p.m., for an “Immigration Teach-In” led by the New Jersey Alliance for Immigrant Justice. More information is available in this issue of Skylights.
