Unitarian Universalism is an historic liberal religious tradition dedicated to honoring the sacred in every soul while building the beloved community on earth. In an “us vs. them” world, we affirm the unity of humanity and the interconnections of all life. Unlike many religious traditions, we have no creed, but value the wisdom inherent in all the world’s traditions. We seek to be a third way, not fundamentalism nor consumerism, but an open and meaningful spiritual community committed to making the world a better place. We welcome all who aspire to such values.

Patriotism and Liberal Faith |
|
July 5, 2009 at 10:00 a.m.
On this 4th of July weekend, let us look at what patriotism is for us individually and for our faith historically and today. Amidst all that is labeled on bumper stickers and everywhere else as patriotic, exactly what is it about ourselves as a nation, that we as UU’s are holding up as valuable? What is our patriotism?
