UUCP is committed to supporting charitable organizations serving the needs of people in the greater Mercer County area. Through funds raised at our annual Spring Sale, we have provided financial support in the form of Social Outreach Grants to area charities for special projects and programs for well over 30 years.

A key factor in evaluating grant applications is strong advocacy and involvement of UUCP congregants. A member or friend of UUCP volunteers to serves as the "Sponsor" for a local charity to facilitate the grant proposal process. The 2012 Social Outreach Grant Application deadline was in January 2012. This spring, we awarded $20,000 in Social Outreach Grants to 19 area organizations, with an increased focus on economic justice and poverty. Details are provided in the 2012 Report to the Congregation.  The Sponsor Registration form for initiating the 2013 Social Outreach Grant application process will be available on-line this November.
