In accordance with our bylaws, the duly elected board of trustees is ultimately responsible for managing all the business of the Congregation (between official meetings of its members). To enhance organizational effectiveness, the board delegates the day-to-day operation of the congregation’s business to an executive team (currently composed of our ministers: Rev. Barnhouse & Rev. Reed). This arrangement allows the board to function as a visionary body. The board develops and articulates the long-term ends or goals of the Congregation, and works closely with the executive team to monitor progress toward achieving these goals. The executive team hires and manages paid staff to help fulfill its duties, and has formed a congregational council to coordinate the many activities and programs of the congregation. The council creates and supports those programs that serve to meet the congregation’s ultimate goals.
