image-buddha-wordcloud-2Buddhist Meditation Group

The Buddhist Meditation Group meets weekly. Our meetings combine a period of meditation with a time to examine and discuss our responses to Buddhist teachings. These sessions will help new participants start a meditation practice as well as offer support to those who already regularly meditate.
Details: Every Sunday at 12:15 in Classroom 15. (A warning about the time: the normal start time is 12:15 pm, but if there isn’t a brunch being offered that week, meditation starts earlier at 11:45 am)

Buddhist Seminar on Teachings

For those interested in a broader exposure to core Buddhist teachings and applications of those teachings to daily life situations, we will offer a monthly seminar from a secular Buddhist perspective led by Alan Oliver, a long-time Unitarian and secular Buddhist educator. The teachings are about how we create suffering and how we can manage and end that suffering. These multiple sessions are not sequential so attend when you can. You do not have to become a Buddhist to enjoy a meditation practice or appreciate core Buddhist teachings. Everyone is welcome.
Details: 3rd Sunday of each month at 1:00 pm in Classroom 15 (with a break in Jan-Feb 2017)
